On the main screen, you'll see a battery icon and three energy buttons (Low, Medium, High). Tap one to set your energy for the day. You can also tap the battery icon itself to cycle through levels. Your task list will immediately update to show only tasks that match your current energy.

Each task gets an energy cost: ⚡ (light — quick and easy), ⚡⚡ (moderate — requires some focus), or ⚡⚡⚡ (heavy — deep work). When your energy is set to Low, only one-bolt tasks appear. Medium shows one- and two-bolt tasks. High shows everything. You decide what's heavy for you.

They're not gone — just hidden. If your energy level is set to Low or Medium, tasks that require more energy are temporarily hidden. Raise your energy level and they'll reappear. You'll also see a count of hidden tasks on the main screen.

Currently, Wattdo stores data locally on your device. Cross-device sync is not available in this version but is something we're considering for a future update.

If you've been in Low Energy mode for two or more consecutive days, Wattdo will gently ask if you'd like to push all heavy tasks (two- and three-bolt) to the following Monday. It's not automatic — you always choose. Sometimes rest is the most productive thing you can do.

Yes. Wattdo is free to download and use with no ads, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases.

Go to Settings within the app to clear completed tasks. To remove all data, simply delete the app from your device — all data is stored locally and will be removed completely.

WIDGET

Widget not updating

If the home screen widget shows stale data, try removing and re-adding it. Also ensure Wattdo has been opened at least once after installation. iOS limits how often widgets refresh — changes should appear within 15 minutes.

WIDGET

Widget energy level doesn't match the app

Open the Wattdo app briefly — this triggers a sync between the app and widget. The widget reads from a shared data container that updates when either the app or widget changes the energy level.

GENERAL

App crashes on launch

Try force-quitting the app and reopening it. If the issue persists, delete and reinstall. Note that reinstalling will remove your task data since it's stored locally. If you continue to experience issues, email us with your device model and iOS version.

Send us an email at andygoinc@gmail.com with a description of the issue, your device model, and iOS version. Screenshots help too. We'll get back to you within 48 hours.

If you're enjoying Wattdo, a review on the App Store means the world to us. It helps other people who need a gentler to-do list find their way here.
